Nebraska corn fields start to dry

Share:
With warmer temperatures and some sunshine, Nebraska’s corn crop has progressed nicely over the past couple of weeks. In fact, for the week ending June 22, 70 percent of the state’s crops were in good to excellent condition, while 25 percent was fair and only 5 percent was poor to very poor. This compares to national numbers of 59 percent in good to excellent condition, 30 percent fair and 11 percent poor to very poor. Nationally a year ago, 73 percent of the crop was good to excellent, 23 percent was fair and 7 percent was poor to very poor.
